Introducing DB12 Volante: Aston Martin's Pinnacle of Open-Top Touring

Aston Martin proudly presents the new DB12 Volante, an exemplar of open-top driving elegance, adding to its tradition of elite convertibles. As a companion to the previously unveiled DB12 Coupe, this model successfully merges Super Tourer performance with the invigorating sensations of roof-down driving.


Engineered in tandem with its Coupe counterpart, the DB12 Volante stands on an impressively rigid bonded aluminium structure. Such a foundation was not just crafted for the dynamic capabilities of the DB12 Coupe but was optimized to offer a comparable driving experience for the Volante. Elements like the rear suspension upper mounting points, lateral connections, and the engine cross brace have been strategically enhanced, resulting in an almost 5% increase in the Volante's global torsional stiffness.


Under the hood, the Volante boasts a 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine that powers the car from 0-60mph in a mere 3.6 seconds, eventually reaching a top speed of 202mph. This engine, coupled with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, promises an unparalleled driving experience.


A standout feature of the DB12 Volante is its state-of-the-art electrically-operated 'K-fold' roof. This design not only allows for efficient packaging and maximized luggage capacity but also ensures quick operation, taking only 14 seconds to open and 16 seconds to close. Furthermore, with four exterior hood colors available, customization options are plentiful, ensuring there's a hue to suit all tastes.


The interior, while staying true to the standards of luxury expected of Aston Martin, showcases a bespoke infotainment system. This includes a 10.25” touchscreen, full online connectivity, and a new Aston Martin customer connectivity app developed for both iOS and Android.


Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Amedeo Felisa, encapsulated the essence of the new DB12 Volante, emphasizing its significance in Aston Martin's lineage: “With the new DB12 Volante, we have changed the rules, preserving all the exceptional sporting capabilities of the DB12 Coupe. A rare and true sporting convertible in every sense, this is a car to challenge preconceptions and captivate a new generation of Volante enthusiasts.”


For those eager to get their hands on this marvel, deliveries are set to commence in the last quarter of 2023.
