Aston Martin Creates a Luxury Home in Japan

Aston Martin Creates a Luxury Home in Japan

For several years now, Aston Martin has been expanding its expertise beyond the automotive world, bringing its signature refinement to curated living spaces. Continuing this evolution, the British marque has just unveiled its first private residence in Asia: N°001 Minami Aoyama, located in Tokyo’s highly sought-after Omotesandō district. This project presents a bold new take on luxury living—blending bespoke design, discreet technology, and inspired architecture.

A Home Designed as a Work of Art

The residence spans four levels, including a spacious basement, for a total area of 724 square metres. Every inch has been designed to reflect Aston Martin’s core values: elegance, clean lines, and meticulous attention to detail. Developed in close collaboration with VIBROA Inc., a prominent Japanese luxury real estate developer, the home draws inspiration from both Aston Martin’s automotive legacy and Tokyo’s distinctive visual culture.

From the outside, the façade immediately catches the eye. Vertical metal slats dance with daylight, creating shifting reflections while maintaining privacy. This interplay of texture and transparency sets the tone for an interior where every design choice serves a greater aesthetic purpose.

Where Form Meets Function

N°001 Minami Aoyama is more than just visually striking—it’s a sensory journey that flows from the basement all the way to the rooftop terrace. As you move upward through the levels, the materials grow progressively lighter, symbolizing a rise toward illumination. The home features three bedrooms with private ensuite baths, a spa, fitness room, golf simulator, wine cellar, and even an outdoor pool inspired by traditional Japanese onsens.

One standout feature is the central staircase. Crafted from folded steel, it evokes a monumental piece of origami, elegantly connecting each level while framing an interior garden.

An Integrated Automotive Gallery

True to its roots, Aston Martin has carved out a unique space on the ground floor: a private automotive gallery. Designed to display two vehicles like sculptures, the gallery features ambient lighting and a textured metallic ceiling. A glass wall allows the cars to be admired from the living room while still visually separating them from the street. It’s a seamless intersection of automotive passion and luxury living.

A Holistic Approach to Residential Design

What sets this project apart is its comprehensive approach. Every element—from the furnishings to the finishing touches—was custom-designed or hand-selected. The kitchen, for example, combines grey oak wood, black lava stone, and subtle metallic accents for a look that is both modern and inviting. Several furniture pieces were crafted by Molteni&C, the renowned Italian brand known for its exquisite craftsmanship.

The home’s audio system, provided by Bowers & Wilkins, is integrated throughout the residence, offering an immersive sound experience that mirrors the in-cabin acoustics of an Aston Martin.

A New Expression of Lifestyle

With N°001 Minami Aoyama, Aston Martin takes another bold step in its growth across Japan and Asia. This is more than a residence—it’s a design statement, where every detail reflects the brand’s philosophy. By turning a living space into a place of contemplation and comfort, Aston Martin proves that its design language translates seamlessly into residential architecture without losing its identity. A truly exclusive project, created for those who seek a home as refined as the cars they dream of driving.
